Anglo Belgian Corporation manufactures medium-speed engines with various power outputs. These engines, in combination with an alternator, positions ABC to offer powerful power generation solutions. Our engineering department provides complete diesel-electric propulsion solutions and auxiliary gensets to power those ships with the highest technical requirements.
ABC gensets combine all technical advantages of our engines to obtain a reliable source of power for vessels, offshore platforms or any other maritime application. Our 16-cylinder, medium-speed V-engine based on the DZC family offers a perfect balance between performance and required investment. Its simplicity made this engine one of ABC’s most wanted engines for marine propulsion and power generation applications across the world.
A high engine displacement, a low brake mean effective pressure (BMEP), a mechanical injection system and an increasing torque curve at decreasing engine speed are just some of the main technical advantages of our 16DZC engines in tugboats, fishing vessels, coasters, dredgers, ferries and other heavy duty applications. The axial-radial turbochargers’ response is second to none, allowing the engine to absorb huge shock loads in heavy sea conditions.
The (V)DZC engine offers real value for money. It is characterized by low fuel and lube oil consumption, resulting in an exceptionally low life-cycle cost. Besides Marine Gasoil (MGO) and Marine Diesel Oil (MDO), the 16(V)DZC is able to run on Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), vegetable oil, … making it a very flexible, powerful and reliable source of energy. Additionally, the engine is available in dual fuel execution.
The engine can be easily fitted with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for those marine applications requiring IMO Tier III and EPA 4 compliance. In addition, the SCR package can be extended with a diesel particulate filter (DPF), allowing the engine to meet the most stringent emission standards.
All (V)DZC engines can be fitted with modern sensors and operating systems so that they can be controlled with a touchscreen from the bridge but they remain 100 % mechanical, making it easier to maintain and more reliable.
